This document sets out what information we need to collect and how we\nwill use it as your privacy is important to us and we are committed to\nprotecting and safeguarding your data.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>What data do we need to collect\nto help you find a job?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The information we need can\nvary depending on the type of work you are looking for but can include the\nbelow. We will only ask for data that we need to help with your job search<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>contact information (such as name, address, email address and telephone number);<\/li><li>employment and education history, often as part of your CV<\/li><li>Work related skills, such as language proficiencies or professional qualifications<\/li><li>Date of birth<\/li><li>Gender<\/li><li>Bank account information<\/li><li>Passport or confirmation of your right to work in the UK<\/li><li>Benefits information;<\/li><li>Tax-related information such as P45 or National Insurance numbers<\/li><li>References from previous employment<\/li><li>Emergency contacts<\/li><li>Details of any criminal records and  permission to carry out an up to date criminal records check<\/li><li>Extra information that you choose to tell  us;<\/li><li>Extra information that your referees choose to tell us about you<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We also collect information in\nthe aggregate to provide ourselves with a better understanding of the users of\nour website including browsing patterns and preferences. This aggregated data,\ndoes not contain personally identifiable information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Why do we process this data?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We process Personal Data as\nnecessary to aid the recruitment process, to provide our recruitment services\nto you. Additionally, to provide you with marketing information including news,\nindustry updates, events and promotions. Where we provide marketing information\nto you, you will be able to unsubscribe from such communications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>How do we collect data?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We can collect data from a\nnumber of sources including<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Job applications via our website <ul><li>When you apply for a job or register on our website you are providing personal information that will help us to       understand and support you job search. By providing this information to Tech Change you are providing Tech Change with consent to process and store your personal data.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li>Directly from you <ul><li>You can send us your details or CV directly (e.g. via email) if you would like us to help with your job search. By providing this information to Tech Change you are providing Tech Change with consent to process and store your personal data.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li>From third parties <ul><li>We may come across your details if you have shared them on social media, the internet or other employment       websites such as job boards. If we find your details via a third party, we will contact you for permission before processing or sharing them.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>How do we process and protect\nyour data?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As Tech Change collects\npersonal data, we are called a \u2018Data Controller\u2019 and have legal\nresponsibilities to use the data correctly and safely. All your data is held in\nour secure systems and is only shared with third parties for the reasons\noutlines in this document.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Your data can be used to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Assess your suitability for any vacancies we have, or you have applied for<\/li><li>Providing you with our recruitment services and to facilitate the recruitment process<\/li><li>Enabling you to submit your CV, apply online for jobs or to subscribe to alerts via our website for jobs we think you may be interested in<\/li><li>Paying your wages if you work for one of our clients on a temporary basis<\/li><li>Verifying the information, you have given us or conducting any legal checks that our clients require before you can start work<\/li><li>Complying with our legal obligations<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We may also use your data to\ncontact you for customer service feedback so we can continually improve our\nrecruitment services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Who do we share your data with?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We do not share your personal\ndata with third parties, except where it is necessary to do so in order to\nprovide you with our recruitment services as described above. The most common\nexample is that we will need to share your details with a prospective employer\n(or their outsourced recruitment teams) in order to help you apply for a job.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Your personal data is stored on\nservers in the European Economic Area and it is only transferred outside that\narea if you ask us to assist you in obtaining work outside the EEA territories.\nWe will not disclose any information we hold about you to third parties without\nyour express permission, with the exception of where the data is required to\nfacilitate the recruitment process, or where the law requires it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>How long do we keep your data?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We will keep your personal data\nonly for as long as is necessary. We comply with all legal requirements and may\nneed to keep some of your details to comply with our own legal and financial\ndisclosures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Can you find out if we have any\nof your personal data?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You have the right to request a\ncopy of the personal data that we hold about you and we want to make sure that\nyour personal data is accurate and up to date. We are happy to remove or amend\nany information you think is inaccurate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You can also ask us to delete\nall of your data at any time, but this means that we will no longer be able to\nhelp you look for a job.
